Sydney businesses donate Play Panels to Sydney Children’s Hospital

Child Friendly Solutions has been working with Sydney Children’s Hospital to secure sponsorship of Play Panels for the hospital’s many wards and waiting areas. In return for their sponsorship, corporate and local businesses are able to badge the Play Panels with their logo.

It has been an excellent opportunity for these businesses to get behind a wonderful initiative and gain valuable brand exposure at the same time.

Because the Play Panels are safe and hygienic, they are perfect for the hospital environment, saving the nursing staff many hours of tidying and washing boxes of loose toys!

Many thanks to the following sponsors:

  • Gloria Jeans Randwick
  • Gloria Jeans Engadine
  • Gloria Jeans Campbelltown
  • GlaxoSmithKline – Children’s Panadol
  • Kimberly Clark – Huggies
  • Royal Randwick Pharmacy
  • Bresnahan’s Fine Foods
  • Something Nice

Discussions are also underway with Sutherland Hospital, Campbelltown Hospital and Westmead Children’s Hospital.

For more information on sponsoring Play Panels for hospitals or if you are a hospital interested in gaining sponsored Play Panels, please call Anne Doyle on (02) 9986 0024.

Shopping Centre Parent’s Rooms – Safe & Profitable?

Centre managers know the importance of keeping customers with children happy but Parent’s Rooms can be a source of frustration in terms of finding the right product to occupy children. There are OH&S and budget issues to consider, as well as issues of theft and space.

Child Friendly Solutions has now supplied over 30 shopping centres in Australia and New Zealand with Play Panels which are designed specifically for commercial environments. They are Australian-made and conform to Australian Standards, eliminating all of those pesky issues described above.

“One of our key roles as centre managers is to provide a pleasant and inviting shopping environment for our customers. Having the play panels in the Parents Room at Warringah Mall, allows parents with a couple of children to attend to one child whilst the other is entertained in a safe and inviting setting.”

Something you may not have realised is that 93% of women prefer to visit a premises that provides a safe play product to occupy children. This is reinforced by anecdotal evidence.

Leonie, mother of a 2 year old and 6 month old, has two shopping centres in her area, both of which have the same supermarkets and similar stores. “Nine times out of ten, I will shop at the centre where the parent’s rooms are clean and have something safe for Sarah to play with while I feed the baby. I find it impossible to go to the shops for any length of time, unless I can stop somewhere nice to feed and change the kids and if there’s nothing to occupy Sarah, it’s just all too hard and I end up going home.”

This attitude translates directly into lost sales for the retailers in your centre. If mum doesn’t feel she can feed and change her children in a safe, inviting parent’s room, she will not stay to browse and shop at the centre.

“Whatever we put into the parent’s room had to be safe, firstly, but also able to keep toddlers quietly entertained, simple to install and easy to keep clean. The Play Panels are the perfect addition to our parent’s room because they fulfilled all of our requirements.”
